Gandhi Memorial: The memorial was built on the spot where the urn containing his ashes were kept for public to pay their last respects before immersing at the confluence of the three seas. The Sun's rays fall on the place where the urn was kept on October each year (first picture right on top).

Thiruvalluvar Statue: The Tiruvalluvar statue. a colossus monument in stone for the Tamil bard, was unveiled at Cape Commorin . The height (133 ft) signifies the 133 chapters of "Thirukkural". The right hand of Thiruvalluvar with three fingers pointing skywards, signifies the three cantos of "Aram, Porul and Inbam"
The foundation for the statue was laid by former Prime Minister Morarji Desai on April 15,1979 in the poresence of the then Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran and unveiled by former Chief Minister M.Karunanithi. January 1,2000. .
Vivekananda Rock Memorial: The Iconic monument and grand memorial to the great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekandanda stands on one of the twin rocks about 200meter offshore.
Mathur Aqueduct: This is the longest Aqueduct in Asia having a height of 115ft and one km long and was constructed across the river Parazhiyar in 1966; this bridge has become a place of tourist importance. There is a beautiful garden and children park at the base of the bridge.
